AMSTERDAM--()--SMARTRAC is launching its new NTAG213 product line: BullsEye, Midas and Circus NTAG213 NFC tags come with 144 bytes user memory with password protection, are compatible with NFC Forum Type 2 Tags and ISO/IEC14443 Type A standards and offer UID mirror functionality. Moreover, BullsEye tags come with etched NFC Forum N-Mark. Sharing their memory structure and feature set, SMARTRAC's new NTAG213 products will replace the highly successful NTAG203 product range.

The industry's best-known all-purpose NFC tag, the SMARTRAC BullsEye, and its close relatives Midas and Circus are now available with the new NXP NTAG213 chip equipped with 144 bytes user memory with password protection. The new chip also features unique ID (UID) mirror functionality, which enables the IC's serial number to be mirrored as part of its encoded URL address. Thus, from an application perspective, every tag can be identified as unique without requiring that users encode tags with variable numbers.

As a world premiere, SMARTRAC's BullsEye NTAG213 all purpose NFC tag comes with an etched NFC Forum N-Mark in the tag's center. This feature simplifies the use of the product as it can be placed directly on top of the printed materials providing easy recognition.

"By introducing our BullsEye NTAG213, we at SMARTRAC demonstrate our strong commitment to the industry standard defined by the NFC Forum. As a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of RFID transponders, tags and inlays, and as a member of the NFC Forum, we are very pleased to support the use of N-Mark as a universal symbol and touchpoint for NFC," explains Thomas Hitzer, EVP Product House at SMARTRAC.

Due to their smaller foot Midas and Circus NTAG213 NFC tags are characterized by superior performance - compared to other tags of the same size - but do not carry the N-Mark logo. Circus' antenna has been reduced to 20mm in diameter retaining the performance of its 23mm predecessor. Midas is SMARTRAC's smallest NFC inlay for electronics market carrying the new NXP NTAG213 chip's full feature set.

All products of the new NTAG213 product line are available in sampling volumes as of now. Volume deliveries will start in March 2014.
