BEIJING—(BUSINESS WIRE)--Microsoft is supporting once again CHINICT – the largest China tech innovation & entrepreneurship conference - taking place in Beijing for the 6th consecutive time on May 27th & 28th 2010. At CHINICT, Microsoft gives traditionally several co-branded CHINICT-Microsoft Rising Star awards to the most promising companies from China and the West. Microsoft also explains at CHINICT how it is helping entrepreneurs to become more successful – by providing them with access to venture capital and even exit strategies.

“Besides CHINICT, I don’t know of another conference where I can meet all the China tech innovators.” explains Nigel Burton, General Manager Evangelist at Microsoft.

And Mr. Burton concludes: “CHINICT is evidence of how important China is becoming as a center for technology and new industry. The reason why large investors and companies like Microsoft are in Beijing, is because many of the strongest companies of the future are going to come from China. And CHINICT is a bet on China as it becomes the home of the next Silicon Valley.”

The 6th edition of CHINICT is supported by key players including Blackberry, Innovation Works, Microsoft, Silicon Valley Bank, Aigo, Sina, Baidu, Alibaba, Sequoia Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Steamboat Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Buyers & Caufield, Intel Capital, Nasdaq, London Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Nyse-Euronext, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, QQ-Tencent, People’s daily, Dow Jones, the Paris Development Agency, Zhongguancun Science Park, the US IT Organization, the US Department of Commerce, the European Union, Torch-Innofund and the Beijing Municipality.
