SANDVIKA, Norway--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wafers and modules produced by REC are both now certified to benefit from the 10 percent premium available as part of an Italian photovoltaic incentive scheme for solar systems containing European components.
The fourth Italian Energy Bill on incentives for photovoltaic, which entered into force in May this year, provides a premium of 10 percent for all photovoltaic systems containing European materials. REC modules containing wafers and/or cells produced in Norway are now certified by TÜV as European content. All products produced in Norway, as part of the European Economic Area Agreement, are treated as European.

REC wafers produced in Norway are certified as European allowing wafer customers of REC to certify their products as European. REC Peak Energy Series EU Modules containing components (wafers or cells) produced in Norway are eligible for the premium.
