With the steady economic growth of emerging Asian countries, more attention is being paid to the stability and safety of energy supply. Pipeline transportation becomes an increasingly popular transport method among energy supplying and consuming countries thanks to the low price and high efficiency. As a big oil consumer in the region, China launches its three big Oil& Gas Pipeline Projects - "Second Pipeline of West-to-East Gas Transmission Project", "Sino-Russian Oil Pipeline Project" and" Sino-Myanmar Oil Pipeline Project", which leads to a new climax of oil and gas pipeline construction. By 2020, oil and gas pipelines in China will amount to 150,000 kms. The launch of China's large-scale oil and gas pipeline projects brings new vitality into the stagnant Asia energy market. At the same time, the rapid expansion poses new challenges in regard to pipeline maintenance, operation and scientific management measures.
Together with China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, CBI China, the leading information supplier in Chinese commodity market, will hold Energy Pipeline Asia 2009 on June 25-26 in Beijing, China. With "Grasp the Pulse of Energy Supply" as the theme, Energy Pipeline Asia 2009 includes the following three parts, development of oil and gas pipelines - global outlook and regional analysis, international cooperation on pipelines - prospect and challenges, technological innovation VS operation efficiency of international oil & gas pipelines.
Energy Pipeline Asia 2009 will conduct extensive and well-balanced discussions with topics on upstream and downstream development and opportunities of oil and gas pipelines, regional development of onshore and offshore pipeline projects, prospects of transnational pipes, as well as the introduction of latest technologies in pipeline designing, manufacturing, construction and integrity management, and environment, health, safety, new applications of pipe technologies, etc. Related government agencies, international oil companies, national oil companies, refining and petrochemical companies, pipeline operators, service provider, pipeline designing companies, oil & gas storage & transport companies, industrial associations, oil field service companies, equipment provider and relevant research agencies will gather in Beijing, discussing pipeline technology development, probing pipeline downstream and upstream cooperation opportunity.
As the organizer of the forum, C1 Energy (a brand of CBI China) will provide exclusive information and product support. By then, the C1 Energy website c1.cbichina.com and C1 Terminal platform will be reporting the forum.
Energy Pipeline Asia 2009 will provide an excellent platform for the communications between energy pipeline enterprises from China and overseas, exploring Asia especially China's pipeline cooperation development pattern and technology trends, grasping the pulse of energy supply.
