GENNEVILLIERS, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
Faiveley Transport (Paris:LEY) has won a project with Bombardier to supply door and air conditioning systems for 22 three car electrically powered passenger trains (Electrical Multiple Units) in Adelaide, Australia.
Faiveley Transport will supply a total number of 264 doors and 110 air conditioning units. The excellent proposal of after-sales support to be provided at a local level was highlighted as an important factor in winning this project.
The Adelaide EMU project is part of a significant investment by the both the local South Australian and national Australian Governments and includes the electrification of the Adelaide network.
This will be the first time that Faiveley Transport will supply both Door and HVAC systems for a passenger train built in Australia and confirms Faiveley Transport's commitment to developing its presence in this market, where they already have 2 industrial sites. Delivery is expected to start in July 2012.
