KBW, Inc. (NYSE: KBW), a full-service investment bank that specializes in the financial services sector, today announced the hiring of John Spence and Henry Fan as Managing Directors in the Investment Banking Division. Mr. Spence will be responsible for deals in the insurance and asset management sectors throughout Asia-Pacific. Mr. Fan will be responsible for covering the Chinese financial sector. Both will report directly to Zac Rosenberg, Head of Investment Banking, Asia.

Mr. Spence, 51, comes to Keefe, Bruyette & Woods with more than three decades of relevant experience. Most recently, he was Director of Asian Strategy at Macquarie Funds Group, where he was responsible for mergers & acquisitions, and developing asset management joint ventures in North Asia. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President at Manulife Financial Asia, where he led the Asian M&A effort as part of the senior leadership group.

Mr. Fan, 44, has 16 years of experience in the financial services sector. He joins Keefe, Bruyette & Woods from Roth Capital Partners in the US, where he was a Managing Director in the China Investment Banking team. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in the FIG Investment Banking team at FBR Capital Markets, based in the US, completing a large number of FIG transactions.
