STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--General Reinsurance Corporation announced that Pietro Toffanello has been promoted to Property/Casualty Treaty Manager of the Asia Pacific region and Managing Director of General Reinsurance Australia Ltd. Pietro has been with Gen Re since 1994. He will move to Sydney from London, where he currently holds the position of Property Facultative Regional Manager for the EMEA Region.

Gen Re also announced that Martin Leitch has been named Property Facultative Regional Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Martin joined Gen Re in 2000 and has held various management positions in London and South Africa. Both appointments are effective as of January 1, 2012.
