RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(Quintiles today announced the opening of a new, expanded central lab in Centurion, South Africa, further adding to its world-leading network of fully harmonized, College of American Pathologists (CAP)-accredited central labs.
)--Continuing the expansion of its Global Laboratories’ capabilities and resources,Quintiles’ new 7,500-square-foot lab offers expanded testing capabilities – covering tuberculosis, microbiology services, HIV, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry – to address a wider range of studies across multiple therapeutic areas throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Quintiles recently added Advion Bioanalytical Labs, a premier U.S.-based bioanalytical laboratory, to its Global Laboratories network. With advanced bioanalytical and metabolic lab services from Quintiles, customers can gain early insight into a drug’s interaction in the body, which helps inform decision-making and reduce the risk of failure in expensive later-stage trials.
