NEW YORK & SAN FRANCISCO--()--Dick Bromley, who played a key role in Business Wire's emergence as one of Europe's leading commercial news services during a decade of explosive growth, will relocate to the United States to become group vice president, Northern California, Pacific Northwest, and Asia Pacific region, Gregg Castano, company president, announced today.
Bromley will be based in San Francisco, Business Wire's co-headquarters city (along with New York). He will report to Ken Bouton, senior vice president, global sales.
Working closely with Rudi DeCeuster, Business Wire's senior director of European Business Development, Bromley helped put Business Wire on the map in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, managing Business Wire's fast-growing offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt. During his tenure, Business Wire was sanctioned as a regulatory disclosure service in the UK and France, in addition to meeting disclosure requirements in other major European markets. The European offices quickly blossomed, often registering annual double-digit sales gains as Europe quickly ranked among Business Wire's best performing regions. Most recently, Bromley's portfolio was expanded to include Business Wire's growing presence in the Middle East and Africa.
In his new role, Bromley will oversee Business Wire's offices in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento and Seattle, in addition to Tokyo and Sydney.
Bromley joined Business Wire in 2001 as UK sales manager, and was elevated to the role of European sales director in 2006. He was promoted to vice president, Europe in 2008, and group vice president for the EMEA region in 2011.
