MORRISVILLE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Bright View Technologies a leading advanced optical film manufacturer announces that it has begun volume shipments of its ACEL® light management film products to Liangshuo Optoelectronics.

Liangshuo Optoelectronics, a leading China based LED packaging, components and luminaire manufacturer, leveraged Bright View’s ACEL® product line to develop the LSD series, a new highly efficient LED downlight. The Liangshuo LSD series delivers the energy efficiency of a LED luminaire with the attractive appearance of a traditional downlight fixture. The LSD series are now shipping in China and will be exported to the U.S. and Europe.

Bright View’s ACEL® product is an optical film used as a high efficiency diffuser in LED luminaries. When combined with Bright View’s innovative design principles, ACEL® enables +90% total system efficiency, reducing the total cost of ownership and helping drive the market adoption of LED luminaires. ACEL® is a critical component of an LED illumination system; delivering the “look” of LED luminaries by eliminating glare and mixing the light to create an aesthetically pleasing glow while achieving a higher level of efficiency than conventional diffusers.
