NEW YORK & SEATTLE--(
)--Possible Worldwide, a WPP Digital company, has appointed Shane Atchison, CEO and co-founder of ZAAZ, to serve as CEO, taking the reins from Trevor Kaufman who will become the agency's Chairman. Atchison will continue to lead ZAAZ, the agency he co-founded in 1998.“I'm very excited to become CEO of Possible Worldwide and see tremendous growth opportunities ahead,” said Atchison. “This is very much a case where the relationship between Possible and ZAAZ will be greater than the sum of its parts. Both agencies share an ethos of creating remarkable digital experiences that people really delight in. The strengths in analytics and performance marketing that we bring from ZAAZ will serve as a great complement to Possible's existing service offerings. I look forward to leading the agency to the next level and continue ZAAZ’s strong relationship with Wunderman.”
ZAAZ will remain a stand-alone brand. In this structure, it will continue to offer analytic, search and marketing science solutions with clients of other WPP agencies, particularly Wunderman, with whom it has been aligned as a partner since 2006.
Seattle-based Atchison is an entrepreneur whose enthusiasm for analytics led him to co-found ZAAZ at the age of 26. His knowledge of web marketing, design and customer relationship management has seen the agency deliver some of the most compelling online experiences for clients such as AT&T, Bing, Microsoft, Disney, Fox Television Network, National Geographic, PBS, Warner Brothers and Boeing. A passionate advocate of his trade, he is a frequent public speaker.
Commenting on the move, Wunderman chairman and CEO Daniel Morel said, “Shane is an innovator in our business. We are excited about his promotion to CEO of Possible Worldwide, and the prospects of even stronger connections between our agencies.”
Mark Read, CEO of WPP Digital, added “Shane will bring his energy and client focus to the task of developing Possible Worldwide into an even stronger global network. We’re delighted to have him as CEO of the company.”
The ZAAZ alliance with Possible Worldwide brings the network’s global digital experts to 1,200 and adds expertise in areas including digital analytics, search, search engine optimization, behavioral targeting and local marketing strategies. Possible Worldwide's footprint will expand, with new locations in Seattle, Portland, Chicago, and Helsinki. These additional capabilities complement the agency’s existing strength of developing multi-platform digital experiences for the world's largest brands.
