NEW YORK--(
)--Syska Hennessy Group, Inc., a global consulting, engineering and commissioning firm, has formed a new practice group “Information and Communication Technology” (ICT) which will allow Fortune 500, mission-critical, healthcare, higher education and other organizations to create facilities which are dramatically more technologically efficient and effective, according to John Passanante, Vice President of Technology for Syska Hennessy Group.Syska’s new global ICT team under Passanante’s direction oversees the convergence of a wide number of traditionally siloed facility programs, ranging from Technology, Security, Audiovisual, Building Automation, Fire-Life-Safety, and Intelligent Building Systems, through Disaster Recovery, IT Security Services, Network and Internet/Intranet systems.
“Combining these many services throughout the design, planning, engineering, installation, and ongoing maintenance of these key systems will result in facilities which run as professionally and consistently as the rest of the firm’s operations,” Passanante stated. “This is truly the future of the highly technical, 24-hour nature of business, regardless of whether it’s a medical, financial, educational or pure-technology company.”
Passanante added, “ICT support for businesses demands effective planning, understanding our client’s business operations and converging ‘siloed’ groups within an organization. “Our team mastered the full spectrum of ICT services, allowing us to advise our clients on IT, communications and data management. We can essentially function as a ‘physical middleware’, acting as liaison internally among client departments and externally with vendors. Our new practice area has the capacity to handle tasks from small projects to enterprise-wide ICT assignments.”
Cyrus Izzo, PE, Syska Hennessy’s Co-President, stated, “Syska Hennessy has been cultivating ICT practice for years, so it was a natural extension for us to elevate our practice and unite it under one world-class discipline. What’s most exciting about this launch is that we now provide a full suite of comprehensive ICT services, including working directly within an organization if that’s what is required.”
Gary Brennen, PE, Syska Hennessy’s Co-President added, “We’re pleased to announce this initiative because the expanded ICT practice strengthens Syska Hennessy’s service offerings and is a key driver for the growth of our organization. We've assembled some of the best talent in the industry to manage this practice, each bringing unique proficiencies on how to build the most innovative ICT solutions for our clients.”
