Smart Grid Exhibition 2012
TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Ltd. (Business & Technology Daily News) announces a massive joint exhibition at Tokyo Big Site for three days starting May 30th (Wed) to June 1st (Fri). Attractions include: "Smart Grid Exhibition 2012" (Jointly Sponsored by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and Japan Smart Community Alliance (JSCA)) geared towards the realization of smart communities; "Automotive NEXT Industry Fair 2011", featuring electric vehicles and related products; and "Product Innovation Fair" featuring machining and manufacturing exhibitions.
Also at the exhibition will be "Biomass Expo 2012" (Sponsor:Sun-Based Economy Association) - an expo for biomass fuel production, power generation and heat utilization, and the "Fourth International Magnesium Expo" (Sponsor:Industry Association of Magnesium in Ibaraki) - showcasing magnesium metal processing and forming.
At the venue, about 300 domestic and international companies will be in attendance to display the latest products and technologies in Smart Meters and HEMS (Home Energy Management Systems), PV (photovoltaic) technology, biomass, wind power, geothermal, next generation vehicles, and manufacturing. Also planned for the exhibition is the "Plant Factory and Smart App Zone" - with energy-saving next-gen farming related tools and energy systems.
Because the exhibition is taking place one month before the mandated renewable energy purchase period, several people from the energy sector, government agencies, and local government officials are expected to be in attendance.
