The background to the case is a judgment already passed by the Dresden District Court on November 30 2010 which determined that Vistaprint had gained a competitive advantage through unfair competition practices. The Regional Court’s verdict on September 30 2011 ruled that Vistaprint is obliged to disclose information and pay any compensation due to print24. The appeal lodged by Vistaprint was rejected by a Provincial High Court judgment on May 22 2012. This verdict is final.
)--The final judgment of the Provincial High Court in Dresden rules in favour of the online printing worksVistaprint must now disclose the scale of the anti-competitive free advertising, more specifically outstanding orders, resulting turnover and effectively incurred costs resulting from said orders. In addition, print24 will be compensated for damages caused by the unlawful actions conducted by VistaPrint starting from February 11 2011.
The amount in dispute was set at 170,000 EUR.
