China will launch its second shale gas exploration tender on Oct 25 in Beijing, the tender will offer 20 blocks, about 20,002 square kilometers to Chinese energy companies or Sino-foreign ventures with Chinese companies taking the majority stake, according to the tender announcement released on the website of the Ministry of Land and Resources. China's shale gas industry has attracted the attention of global energy companies such as Royal Dutch Shell PLC and BP Plc, and US independents such as Hess Corp and Newfield Exploration Co. While inland, after the tender announced, hundreds of companies have taken the tender documents, including a number of listed companies. Obviously, the current shale gas exploration enthusiasm is very high, flocks of people are seeking for the investment opportunity.
Under this background,with the support of US Department of Energy, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and Ningbo Municipal Government will hosted 2012 Unconventional Gas (Shale Gas) International Forum, which will be organized by Shine Media International on November 8-9 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province of China.
