Havok™ Partners with Communication University of China to Offer Educational Programs for Game Developers

New Office in Beijing to Provide Local Game Development Support and Services

BEIJING--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Havok™, a leading provider of game development technology, announces a business partnership agreement with the Animation and Digital Arts School of the Communication University of China (CUC), one of China’s top universities in media, animation and games. The agreement will allow Havok and CUC to set up a Technology and Learning Lab which will host digital media training programs that promote higher education development in China within the areas of internet technology, 3D game technology and new media. The formal signing ceremony took place today at the Communication University of China.

Havok has been focused on expanding its presence within the Greater China Region where it is committed to investing significant resources toward providing localized services and support for one of the fastest growing markets for animation and games. Through its parent company, Intel, Havok recently opened a new office in Beijing to help support the growing number of Havok partners in China, where Havok is currently working with studios like Ubisoft, Pearl Digital Entertainment, Aurogon, The9, 2K and THQ. Havok plans to expand its offices into Shanghai in early 2013.
