TAMPA, Fla.--()--Syniverse today announced an agreement to provide its IPX Network and Diameter Signaling Service to leading Hong Kong mobile network operator SmarTone. The agreement supports SmarTone’s participation in Syniverse’s comprehensive LTE roaming trials, which allow the operator to test end-to-end LTE roaming functionality and launch commercial service with partners globally.

The solutions SmarTone has chosen also enable them to join Syniverse’s LTE roaming trials among seven Tier 1 mobile service providers from around the globe. Syniverse’s end-to-end LTE roaming testing environment allows mobile service providers to test device authentication and signaling on LTE networks as well as critical LTE roaming functions, such as real-time intelligence and wholesale clearing and settlement.
