Award-Winning Technology to Reach More Customers in Taiwan, China and Europe
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. & BARCELONA, Spain & EDINBURGH, UK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Consumer electronics, service providers and other embedded system OEMs now have multiple ways to access the “any wire” multimedia home networking technology by Gigle Semiconductor. Today the company announced the expansion of its global distribution network of sales and technical support representatives in Taiwan, China and Europe, making it more convenient to develop simple, secure, high-performance networking products that will allow people to share HD media from multiple devices throughout the home over existing wiring.
Gigle’s new sales representative and distributors include some of the world’s leaders:
- Fortune Techgroup, one of the largest distributors of electronic components and leading providers of services to the electronics industry in China;
- Apache Communications, a leading electronics distributor in Taiwan: providing fast and real support in all phases, from design to production;
- Lumax International Corp., process control and electronics business experts in Taiwan, who with their operational efficiencies are on a trajectory to become one of the Top 10 players in Greater China this year;
- Redtree Solutions, a major electronics pan-EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) organization with offices in all the major regions of EMEA, focusing on OEM support in the telecom, consumer, storage and automotive and industrial markets.
“By adding regional contacts, Gigle can further engage with its customers to design products using Gigle’s highly integrated ICs that are developed to work with anywire – powerline, phoneline, and coaxial cable – allowing OEM’s to create consumer-friendly always-on entertainment network devices,” said Tom Foster, Vice President of Sales for Gigle.
About Gigle Media Networking ICs
Today’s media networking technology is typically limited to around 200Mbps throughput delivered via powerline or coax connectivity. Gigle has raised the bar for multimedia networking by introducing its GGL541 1Gbps home networking IC for Mediaxtream™ and HomePlug®AV; and GGL301 home networking IC for HomePlug®AV that are completely integrated, lower priced, faster performing and more reliable than competitive products. The company seeks to make in-home networking as easy to set up and operate a toaster, yet powerful enough to simultaneously use, stream and share media like HD movies, music, games and other online content.
The GGL541 and GGL301 series of home networking ICs are available now in volume. More information about Gigle and its award-winning products can be found at www.gigle.biz.
