DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dresser Inc., a global leader in providing highly-engineered infrastructure products for the global energy industry has named Bruce D. Coventry president of the company’s engine business, Dresser Waukesha.
Coventry, a senior executive and veteran of the global engine industry, succeeds Barry Glickman, who has been appointed president of Dresser’s Flow Technologies business.

Most recently, Coventry served as chief executive officer of Global Electric Motorcars (GEM), a subsidiary of Chrysler, LLC. In this role he led the organization to win a number of global industry awards for driving operational excellence programs that resulted in improved customer satisfaction. These awards included the Harbor award which is the automotive industry’s measure of productivity, the Shingo Prize which is the industrial sector’s operational excellence metric, and Plant Engineering Magazine’s “Best Plants” award.
Previously he was president of Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance (GEMA), a joint venture of DaimlerChrysler, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi Motors, that produced engines marketed under the “World Engine” brand name which were used in various regions of the world. His previous experience includes serving as vice president and general manager of DaimlerChrysler’s Engine, Foundry and Axle Operations, a $4 billion business, with operations in both North and South America, as well as engineering leadership roles responsible for engine product strategy through new product launch.
Coventry holds an executive MBA from Michigan State University and a bachelor of science in industrial administration and manufacturing management from General Motors Institute. He serves as the Chairman of the Kettering University (GMI) Board of Trustees and is an instrument-rated private pilot.
