SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Radiance Software (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. announced a partnership today with Emergent Game Technologies for the use of Emergent’s development products, including Gamebryo® and Gamebryo LightSpeed™, the cutting edge game development system. Radiance, a leading game operator and developer in Shanghai, used Gamebryo to develop the recently launched Beach Volleyball Online, and for the upcoming free to play online kart game, Go-Go Racer.
“Gamebryo is Radiance’s technology of choice because it’s proven and currently used by some of the biggest studios in China. In my past experience at a large studio in China we used Emergent’s tech and created numerous games with this flexible technology,” said Monte Singman, CEO of Radiance Software. “An added advantage is that Emergent has used their network to introduce our games to potential publishers which has expanded our breadth of exposure to the international games market. We are extremely happy with the continued support to our business, even after the sale, which is the true test of a partnership rather than just a vendor/customer relationship.”
Emergent’s roadmap reflects the technical needs of the global development community, incorporating feedback into product offerings, community efforts and the samples built to support studio partners. Gamebryo provides Radiance with a seamless and efficient framework coupled with the ability to quickly incorporate in-house and other third-party tech. The recent launch of LightSpeed brings studios the ability for rapid prototyping, iteration and development. Emergent’s technologies are powerful and flexible enough to create any game genre on any game platform, saving time and money to improve game play, graphics and the overall quality of each title.
The soon-to-be-launched Go-Go Racer is a casual, 3D off-road racing game with one-of-a-kind style and serious speed. Compete in eye-popping races for car parts, medals, and above all else, fame. Players can race in head to head challenges, participate in team races, or establish the fastest racing time to declare superiority. Featuring customizable avatars, top-notch graphics and ultra-tight kart racing, Go-Go Racer is certain to be a hit title all over the world.
