ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Chief Executive of Masdar welcomed members of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) at reception held in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, emphasizing the importance of a collective effort towards ensuring that IRENA achieves its aggressive mandate.

In his capacity as a member of the Climate Change Advisory Group for UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Al Jaber recently participated in the United Nation’s Summit on Climate Change, the Clinton Global initiative and the New York Climate Week.

The IRENA Administrative Committee Meeting in Abu Dhabi marks the commencement of the first ever IRENA meeting to be held in its headquarters, Abu Dhabi.
