YOKOHAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kyocera Elco is pleased to announce that we released Series 5804, an SMT type Board to Board connector for stacking connection featuring 0.4mm pitch, 0.9mm of stacking height and 2.4mm in width that is the shortest in the industry. Kyocera Elco developed Series 5804 for minimum size of cell phones, digital AV equipment, etc.

Kyocera Elco will be exhibiting at CEATEC 2009 and will show off Series 5804.

Features

  1. A great deal of space saving is achieved on a PCB with its world’s minimum size of 0.9mm in mating height and 2.4mm in width.
  2. The original "Twin-rib" structure eliminates foreign matters such as splash of flux and chips of board separation, and ensures high contact reliability.
  3. Double-sided contact structure is adopted to enhance the resistance to vibration or drop shock. The Twin-rib structure that is employed for the shape of contact on plug side, which eliminates foreign obstacles such as splash of the flux, chips of boards separation and so on, and ensures the high contact reliability.
  4. Original locking structure is adopted for mating lock mechanism that realizes the firm clicking response and enhances the retention force when connectors unmated even with their low profile.
  5. Connectors exclusively for circuit check are available for use in the mounting process.
  6. Packaged in tape and reel: 3,000 pieces/reel.
  7. RoHS compliant product.
