THEALE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sondrel, one of the world’s leading system-to-silicon IC design consultancies, is confident that the development of its business in China will be highly significant, both to its global business development and to customers in Asia, following a recent visit to the region by VP Sales, Alan Runcie who accompanied Minister of State, Oliver Letwin MP as part of a program organised by the UK Trade and Industry department (UKTI).
Comments Runcie: “The scale of opportunity at Chinese companies like Huawei is enormous. For example, there is a particular interest in the verification programs that we have developed. But also, the available design talent that is emerging in China will be hugely beneficial to our customers in other parts of the world as we continue to bring well-trained, experienced design teams on stream to handle projects that large companies prefer to outsource.
Sondrel already has a strong presence in Asia, employing large design teams in Shanghai and Xi’an. The company is also an active participant in several UK government and business groups looking to develop business in China. Comments CEO Graham Curren: “Our outsourcing model requires us to build teams of highly-skilled engineering professionals. China has a huge number of graduate electronics engineers – some of whom we are helping to further train through our recently-announced programme based at the University of Nottingham’s Ningbo Campus (UNNC)– so we see tremendous benefits for our Chinese customers and others in all parts of the world.”
