TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) today announced the launch of a new line-up of low input current type transistor output photocouplers that guarantee high CTR (Current Transfer Ratio)1 at low input current. “TLP182” and “TLP183” will be available in SO6 packages and “TLP292” and “TLP293” in small SO4 packages. Mass production is scheduled to start at the end of August, 2013.
The photocouplers all incorporate Toshiba’s original high output infrared LEDs and guarantee the same CTR at 0.5mA input current and at 5.0mA input current, making it possible to reduce the current to the LED and secure lower power consumption. The LED’s stable output under high ambient temperature guarantees operation at up to 125°C, allowing for reliable use in industrial devices, compact power supplies and other applications that generate high levels of heat.
Applications
Switching power supplies, industrial devices such as PLC and inverters, and AC line detection for home appliances.
Key Features of the Products
1. Guaranteed high CTR (50 to 600%) at low input current (IF) of 0.5mA
2. Guaranteed operation temperature [Topr(Max)] up to 125°C
3. Adopted to small SO6 and SO4 packages
