New Energy Vehicles Market Activated, Power Battery Industry Invigorated
SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--World economy recession has led the world automobile industry into a gloomy situation. Together with high-running energy prices, ever-severe air pollution and deep awareness of environment protection, more and more automobile companies have focused on new-energy vehicles. The development of those vehicles, represented by PEV and HV hybrid vehicles, has become essential to speed up transportation energy strategy transition across the world and to handle the difficulties mentioned above.
In 2009, Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Finance jointly issued "Notice on energy conservation and new-energy vehicles’ experimental demonstration," and the State Council then issued "A plan to restructure and revitalize the automobile industry," clearly put forward in support of energy conservation and new-energy vehicles demonstration in large and middle-scaled cities. All these have laid a good foundation to the development of new-energy vehicles.
However, compared with traditional fuel-engined vehicles, the electric vehicle is just on its initial stage both at home and abroad. Besides, the related battery technology and other electronics technology are too immature to develop into a new industry system. Among these, the reliability, durability, longevity, cost and other problems of power battery are all key factors to constrain the development of the electric vehicles mentioned above.
Therefore, to solve the bottle-necked problems mentioned above is the precondition to widely explore the automobile market. This conference will gather business leaders in new-energy automobile companies domestically and internationally to jointly discuss the practicability of power batteries, to enhance international exchanges and cooperation, and to provide technology and product guarantee for the large-scaled demonstration and application of our electric vehicles.
