TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UnionPay International will conduct the “UnionPay Card Hotel Campaign” through Wednesday, April 30, 2014 to celebrate total UnionPay card transactions by tourists visiting Japan exceeding 15 billion yen (as of September 2013). When cardholders pay accommodation fees (total 10,000 JPY or more) with a UnionPay card at applicable hotels in Japan, they will receive a 1,000 JPY discount.
Tourists from China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, and Singapore who visit Japan are eligible for the “UnionPay Card Hotel Campaign.”
Cardholders may receive a 1,000 JPY discount by paying accommodation fees totaling 20,000 JPY or more with a UnionPay card at one of approximately 100 applicable hotels in Japan. Cardholders must submit a voucher readied in advance when making payment. Vouchers can be downloaded from a special page on the “Shopping & Travel Guide” website (http://www.shopping-guide.co.jp/) or be obtained from the “Shopping & Travel Guide” pamphlet available at applicable hotels.
