NEW YORK & SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StepStone Group LP (“StepStone”), a leading global private markets firm, today announced it has named Michael A. Elio a Partner of the firm, effective January 21, 2014. Mr. Elio will be based in StepStone's New York office and will focus on portfolio management for StepStone’s institutional clients.
Prior to joining StepStone, Mr. Elio, 45, was a Managing Director at the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), where he led ILPA’s programs around research, standards and industry strategic priorities. Previously, he was a Partner and Managing Director at LP Capital Advisors and led the firm’s Boston office, where he served as the lead consultant to North American and European institutional investors. Mr. Elio served as the primary consultant for many of the firm’s largest clients, including public and private pension plans committing in excess of $5 billion annually.
