SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syska Hennessy Group, Inc., a global consulting, engineering and commissioning firm, is growing its Shanghai, China office to meet increasing demands of clients throughout China, and serve as a hub to support clients and projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Located at 228 South Xizang Road in Shanghai, the office has doubled in size over the last several years, with a current staff of almost 30 professionals. The office provides engineering and commissioning services as well as building information modeling (BIM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and information and communication technology expertise for a variety of industry sectors including critical facilities, financial, retail, commercial development, science and technology and pharmaceutical. The office is expanding into other sectors, including healthcare and aviation, both of which the company views as major growth areas throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Ing Lim, senior vice president, currently serves as managing director overseeing operations for the office and the region. The Shanghai office leverages Syska’s internationally recognized technical depth combined with an intimate knowledge of local building codes and standards. The professionals apply the latest energy, modeling and simulation tools in driving world-class high performance solutions. They have been involved in work for the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s financial data center and corporate campus, one of the first data centers in China designed without multiple single points of failure and expansion limitations. The team continues to collaborate closely with Duke University to help make their vision for a new Kungnam Campus a reality. They are currently engaged with a complex science and laboratory building for a large international firm and additional work for several hospital facilities. Finally they continue to team with international retail giants to develop flagship stores throughout China.
“Our expansion in the Shanghai market reflects our continuing commitment to providing superior service to our global clients as well as our local China-based clients,” stated Gary Brennen, PE, Co-President. “The entire Asia Pacific market remains a key area of strategic focus for Syska Hennessy Group.”
