PHUKET, Thailand--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nutanix, the leading provider of hyper-efficient, massively scalable and elegantly simple datacenter infrastructure solutions, is hosting its inaugural partner summit in Asia Pacific, reflecting the success it has had in the region in just 18 months. The award-winning company now has thirteen offices across the region, along with several more in the construction stages. The region has seen over 300 units shipped to major enterprises in short order with a strong pipeline for additional products.
As is reflected globally, Asia Pacific businesses have data security very much front of mind but some still feel somewhat uncomfortable entrusting their valuable information to the public cloud. This, combined with the fact that virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) acceptance is becoming more prevalent in the region, means businesses are searching for solutions that provide them with cost-effective, on-premise, private could infrastructures which is why Nutanix is seeing such successful growth.
One end user, Easy Buy Public Company Limited (Thailand), a leading provider of financial services to the consumer market, has moved to Nutanix having discovered it offers the ease and simplicity it was looking for. Mr. Chatchai Lertbuntanawong, Director and Executive Officer, said, “Nutanix’s web-scale technology provides us with a solution that enables us to achieve the highest possible performance from our infrastructure, with the ability to easily scale as demand grows. Until we met Nutanix we’d spent 18 months evaluating the different solutions available on the market – once introduced to the team, it was evident that the Nutanix offering was far superior and we made the decision to move to its solution within a week.”
“Asia Pacific mirrors our growth and success across the world,” commented Matt Young, Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan at Nutanix. “Our partners have been crucial to our plans in educating the end user about the benefits of collapsed compute and storage over more traditional data center solutions, and this conference is our way of thanking them for their excellent support and giving them unprecedented access and insight into our future plans. This will enable us to support them as they further develop business in the region.”
The opportunity for the channel globally is huge. With the market growing at 53.7 percent year over year* – the integrated systems business is expanding at over 12 times that of traditional IT. Nutanix drives 100 percent of sales through its channel and partners benefit from deal registrations, discounts, marketing funds and other programs to create new opportunities, increase profitability, and close more projects faster. Recent awards include the Data Center Infrastructure Solution Award at the China ComputerWorld Award ceremony in Beijing and most recently, the Most Promising Storage Management Solution, at Network World Asia’s 3rd, Information Management Awards (IMA).
The number of Nutanix partner-certified technical staff in the region has grown to 144. One such partner, Eugene Pui, Director Business Development (Products), M.Tech, commented,“For more than a decade, M.Tech, a leading Distributor in ASEAN, was focused on opportunities in the traditional datacenter, until recently when the hyper-converged platform offered by Nutanix gave our company a new business opportunity – we can now go to market with Citrix, Microsoft, VMware and other leading cloud solutions, and go after VDI, big data, and other cloud enabled markets in ASEAN. Nutanix helps lower the Total Cost of Ownership for VDI tremendously, making it so much more affordable and attractive for SMBs to seriously look at the benefits of Desktop Virtualisation. Additionally the Nutanix VDI assurance program is the first of its kind in the industry, enabling guaranteed levels of performance without requiring any in-depth technical knowledge from the IT department. Our customers like Nutanix’s predictable cost / performance as their datacenters grow, and the flexibility of paying for the right amount of compute and storage for their new application requirements. Nutanix is the way to go as IT moves towards software defined technologies.”
To add to this, Mr. Suradet Lerthammajak, Vice President, Metro Systems Corporation PCL, said, “Nutanix offers a unique proposition against the traditional incumbents of the datacenter. The growth we’re seeing in sales is testament to the quality and demand for the Nutanix platform. The scalability of the solution means we’re seeing interest from businesses of all sizes.” Metro Systems Corporation focuses on delivering superior IT products and services including hardware, software services & security, office supplies, networking and datacenter products.
Reseller, Richard Teng, Vice President of Operations, Systex Group, added, “We’re seeing increasing demand from our customers, who are looking for more intelligent solutions to their current virtualized workload requirements. Nutanix answers this demand both simply and elegantly with its model of collapsed compute and storage and the timing of its solution coincides perfectly with the way organizations are rethinking their datacenter requirements.”
