WAHU GEINO BUTAI is designed as entertainment which contains the Japanese culture from Hokkaido and other places in Japan (Noh, Kyogen, Bunraku puppet show, Gagaku, Shinto music and dance, Japanese classical dance, Ryukyu dance, the Ainu people music, Folk art, Street performance etc.). This unprecedented show will perform continuously at the venues in Sapporo to contribute unforgettable journey to the domestic and foreign tourists with the concept of Japanese hospitality.

Wahu Geino Butai was born from the desire of increasing foreign visitors
In recent years, the number of the tourists (inbound) who visit Sapporo has been increasing rapidly. According to the survey of Sapporo, 70% of foreign visitors who stay in Sapporo city are from Asian countries (Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea etc.). When the survey asked the guides and travelers who came from these countries or regions, most of them said that they were very satisfied with the nature, foods and people’s kindness. But they still want to travel at night or get a chance to experience the Japanese art and culture.
Definitely, it is normal in Asian countries of Chinese culture zone that the travelers enjoy the local traditional entertainment shows on their journey with their family or do something else after 8 pm. But, it is also true that there are few such related services provided in Hokkaido.
