GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Patton Electronics—US-manufacturer of award-winning SmartNode™ VoIP solutions, BODI rS™ High Availability Fixed & Mobile Routers, and CopperLink™ Ethernet Extenders—is now taking orders for the new SmartNode™ Open Gateway Appliance (SNOGA) that offers customized, IP-based, businesses communications for 2 to 128 concurrent voice or fax calls.
The SNOGA open hardware platform for small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) enables software developers and system integrators to build the ideal, customized, Linux or Windows-based unified-communications (UC) or business phone system for the specialized needs of their customers.
The SNOGA can serve as the host hardware platform for such network-appliance applications as Interactive Voice Response (IVR), call recording, call-accounting, session border controller, and more.
Using the SNOGA, application developers can leverage existing LINUX or WINDOWS-based IP-PBX or UC software to build IP-communications solutions that support the specialized business processes of such organizations as law firms, banks, retailers, manufacturers, auto shops, call centers, and others.
“Patton is really excited about the partner engagement that can be realized with software-centric communication solutions providers,” said Burton A. Patton, EVP. “Now, by leveraging Patton’s tightly-integrated, purpose-built, open hardware, open-source communities and communications software developers can build their own standard products.”
Patton’s open network appliance platform is designed with an industry-standard miniITX motherboard, a 2 GHz Intel Celeron quad-core processor and features a built-in SmartNode VoIP gateway, VoIP Router, or enterprise session border controller (E-SBC).
SmartNode is industry-renowned for delivering unparalleled, proven interoperability with existing FXS/FXO, PRI and BRI phone equipment and services from just about any vendor in the business. That means SMBs can integrate all their existing voice equipment and PSTN services with the latest and greatest UC systems, IP-PBXs and SIP-trunk services.
Because SmartNode includes a SIP back-to-back user agent, the SNOGA ensures secure, interoperability when connecting an IP PBX with any SIP trunking service or softswitch.
Industry-standard upstream QoS and Patton’s DownStreamQos™ are implemented in the SNOGA to ensure high-quality voice within the subscriber premise.
The SNOGA—like all Patton products—comes with Patton’s Gold-Standard Free Support at no additional charge. Patton’s Platinum-Plus Premium 24/7 Support is also available.
