CHIBA CITY, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition 2009 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from Wednesday, November 18 to Friday, November 20. This renowned event, a showcase of the newest technologies and emerging trends in broadcasting, is sponsored by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and supported by the National Association of Commercial Broadcasters in Japan (NAB-J) and the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). The Japan Electronics Show Association (JESA) will provide planning and management.
This year marks the 45th staging of Inter BEE, which is one of the world’s major exhibitions of broadcasting equipment. Inter BEE brings under one roof the latest in broadcasting, video and audio equipment, as well as related applications and solutions from Japan and overseas. Inter BEE provides ample opportunities for business expansion, technology exchange and market stimulation. The organizers forecast 819 exhibitors, the largest number ever with 466 overseas exhibitors from 30 countries/regions. The total number of visitors over the 3-day period will exceed over 30,000 participants.
As the industry's leading professional exhibition for not only audio and visual technologies but also for the communications field, Inter BEE promises stimulating displays of the best professional equipment available. Each year, the show draws wide attention from broadcast industry insiders as well as from those involved in the many applications for broadcasting technologies.
All over the world, TV broadcasters are making the transition to terrestrial digital broadcasting. For example, the US has already made the shift to digital in 2008 and Japan is scheduled to terminate analog service in 2011. In response to digitalization of broadcasting, video contents has been digitalized and new businesses are about to be shaped by providing content to various industries. In response to these trends, Inter BEE 2009 has newly established “IPTV, Mobile TV and Cross-Media Zones” from a viewpoint of broadcasting and video to form five pavilions, including “IPTV,” “Mobile TV,” “Digital Signage,” “Digital Cinema” and “3D Image”.
