ZTE Presents M-ICT Innovations to German Vice-Chancellor Gabriel and Chinese Vice-Premier Ma

Senior officials from Germany and China surveyed new ZTE solutions including wireless charging for electric vehicles and 4G Air-to-Ground at CeBIT conference in Hannover this week

HANNOVER, Germany--()--ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, is pleased to host Sigmar Gabriel, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Ma Kai, Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China, at the company’s exhibition during this week’s CeBIT conference in Hannover.

Mr. Gabriel, who also serves as Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, and Mr. Ma led senior officials of Germany and China in a tour of ZTE’s exhibition at CeBIT, where they were introduced to ZTE’s world-leading solutions including wireless charging for electric vehicles and 4G air-to-ground broadband.

Shi Lirong, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZTE, delivered a keynote address at the China-Germany Entrepreneurs' Dialogue at CeBIT, highlighting the potential for deeper collaboration between companies in the two countries in areas including electric vehicles and alternative energy. Mr. Ma and Wolfgang Schaeuble, Finance Minister of Germany, officiated at the China-Germany Entrepreneurs’ Dialogue event, which was attended by business leaders from the two countries.

“Partnerships between companies from Germany and China have thrived in the past decade, and the potential for further growth remains enormous,” Mr. Shi said in his keynote address. “ZTE is building stronger relationships with our partners in Germany as our business here continues to experience rapid growth.”

In 2014, ZTE strengthened its telecommunications services capabilities in Germany after completing the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent Network Services GmbH. ZTE’s world-leading telecommunications solutions are deployed by German operators including Deutsche Telekom and O2 Germany.

China is the official Partner Country of CeBIT 2015. The motto of CeBIT 2015, "d!conomy", is well-aligned with the growing cooperation in technology innovation between China and Germany, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said in his video address to the conference.

In 2014, ZTE unveiled its M-ICT strategy to accelerate innovations to empower customers to capture new opportunities and create value from the proliferation of mobile connectivity.
