ARLINGTON, Va.,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) ® today announced an expanded show floor for the inaugural International CES AsiaTM, an increase due to high market demand for exhibit space. Featuring top technology companies from around the world, CES Asia will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.
“We simply underestimated what exhibitor interest would be for this first year show, and we were not able to accommodate all qualified requests for exhibit space with our initial inventory,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president International CES and corporate business strategy. “The overwhelming response we’ve received for exhibit space reinforces CES Asia as a major gateway for companies looking to expand into the dynamic Asian market.”
Since the announcement of the show, exhibit space at CES Asia has been quickly selling, resulting in this expansion just months after sales for the inaugural event kicked off. CES Asia has added more than 1,800 gross square meters (more than 600 net square meters) which will now allow for additional global brands, like new addition Samsung, to secure meeting room space for strategic business meetings.
International powerhouse companies are supporting CES Asia through show floor exhibitions and/or private meeting room space to conduct critical business. Major brands are highlighted below with new exhibitors as of this week shown in bold:
