Vehicle Technology exhibits accelerate at Asia’s platform for tech innovation

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--Vehicles are greener, safer, smarter and more connected than ever before. CES Asia™ 2016 attendees will see these trends and more of the latest in vehicle innovation, with 27 automotive and related companies already signed up to exhibit at Asia’s premier event for consumer technology. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ , formerly the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, and co-produced by Intex Shanghai, CES Asia will run May 11-13, 2016, in Shanghai, China.

“The intersection between tech and automobiles is at an all-time high as in-vehicle communications make cars safer and drivers more connected, “ said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association. “The future of mobility is at our fingertips with advancements in gesture controls and autonomous driving features, all while being eco and energy efficient. And it all will be at CES Asia.”

Key vehicle technology exhibitors include: BMWCobra Electronics, Continental, Mercedes-Benz, NavInfo, Peiker, PioneerOnStar/Chevrolet,TE and Volvo.

“Over the years, CES has become a show that leading auto manufacturers simply must attend, which reflects the rapid development of automotive electronics and in-car multimedia technology,” said OnStar/Chevrolet. “As the most influential trade show in consumer technologies, CES Asia has attracted the attention of many well-known automotive companies. This year, Shanghai OnStar is participating in the show with Chevrolet and will showcase the latest technologies for their Mobile App, Gesture Control App, automated driving technology and innovative technology for onboard telematics and smart household.”

In addition to exhibits on the show floor, CES Asia will feature two vehicle technology conference sessions in the Kerry Hotel.

  • Breakthroughs in Autonomous VehiclesFeatures a panel discussion focused on the challenges associated with autonomous driving regulations in China.
  • Connected Car: Explores the profound impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) on the driving experience. How do these new technologies affect the Asian marketplace and what automotive innovations can consumers look forward to?
