BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSI) today announced that it is entering the Accident & Health (A&H) market in Asia, and appointed Phillip Brain as Head of A&H in the region.

BHSI will focus initially on broker-distributed Group Personal Accident and Business Travel products, and will strategically expand its suite of A&H products over time.

Phillip comes to BHSI with nearly two decades of industry experience. He was most recently Vice President, Accident & Health Group Manager, Asia Pacific, at Chubb. Before that, he was Regional Vice President and Group Accident & Health Manager, AIG Asia Pacific. Earlier in his career he served in various A&H underwriting and product management roles at AIG in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
