Hong Kong--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Freetech Road Recycling Technology (Holdings) Limited (“Freetech”, or the “Group;” stock code: HK.6888), a leading asphalt pavement maintenance (the “APM”) integrated solution provider, announced that the Group had successfully completed the municipal road maintenance project in Chizhou City, Anhui Provinceby the end of June, the quality of which has been tested bythe recent heavy rainfalls.
In 2015, the Chizhou City of Anhui Province entered the first batch of China’s pilot “Sponge Cities", and the Qishan Road reconstruction project was amongthe first batch of the demonstration projects of the sponge city. Meanwhile, this road is also the most important north-south road ofChizhou City, bearing important traffic and urban image display functionalities. However, the heavy traffic and high density of residential and commercial areas of the surrounding districts put higher requirements onthe implementation of the project.
During the construction, the Group’s equipment achieved 100% recycling of old materials and zero emission of solid waste. Otherwise, this project would produce 7,680 tons of solid waste usingthe traditional maintenance method. By adopting thepatented Hot-in-Place technology and equipment,the Group hassuccessfully completed the project and metstringent technical requirements on road cross slope of a sponge city. Meanwhile, the Group’s equipment is more efficient than traditional techniques,thus shortening the construction periodand reducing the impact on people's daily lifeandtraffic.
