BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arctic Sand Technologies (www.arcticsand.com), the performance and space saving leader in power conversion ICs, today announced the signing of a distribution deal with the South East Asia manufacturer’s rep and electronic components distributor, WEIKENG TECHNOLOGY PTE LTD, covering China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
With offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and The Philippines, Weikeng is a subsidiary of Weikeng Industrial with access to the group’s shared engineering resources enabling it to offer customers a fast and complete turnkey solutions service. The company also focuses on new designs, via internal and field-based engineering teams which can develop standard reference designs.
Arctic Sand’s ICs feature TIPS (Transformative Integrated Power Solution) a patented architecture that effectively reduces dependence on inductance, inherently lowers EMI and ripple and uniquely enables ultra-low profile solutions with industry-leading power conversion efficiencies– addressing key pain points for mobile computing and data centers. Launched earlier this year, the ARC1C0608 LED driver is so efficient that it is able to save 0.5W when deployed in backlights for tablets and other smart mobile devices whilst achieving the lowest height and smallest footprint in the industry. Newly released, the ARC2C0608 ultra-high efficiency LED driver targets 2-Cell NVDC (Narrow Voltage DC) Ultrabook platforms, reducing losses in the LED boost by about 50%, resulting in savings of more than 0.5W for high brightness (400NIT) ultra-high-def (UHD) LED backlit displays, all in a very low profile package of 1mm or less.
