The 10th China Financial Value Ranking (CFV) event, a significant part of YICAI’s financial annual meeting season, was held in Beijing on November 18-19, 2016.

This year, YICAI’s financial annual meeting season includes three major events, namely CFV Awarding Ceremony & 10th Anniversary Banquet Beijing, YICAI Financial Summit & Annual Meeting of China International Finance Society jointly organized by YICAI and China International Finance Society and supported by the National Institution for Finance & Development (NIFD), and Financial Books of the Year organized by YICAI Research Institute.

In 2016, IMF once again lowered its forecast for the global economic growth rate, the financial market turmoil continued – UK decided to exit EU, and rumor had it that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates at the end of the year. In China, along with the restructuring of the economic growth mode, the financial market is volatile. Destocking has caused bubbles in real estate, while capacity elimination and de-leveraging are exerting great pressure. Among the Internet financial chaos, "re-regulation" was again on the agenda. At the same time, the "technology +" trend is re-building the global landscape.

The 10th CFV with the theme of "Restructuring and Re-regulation" will witness and forecast China's financial reform in future. This year also marks the tenth anniversary of CFV, which has experienced the ups and downs of the global financial industry and the rise, reform and progress of China's financial industry.

On the evening of November 18, 2016, YICAI revealed CFV winners of the decade, who had contributed to the advancement and transformation of the global finance industry in the past ten years. The winners were: Ben Bernanke, Former Chairman of the Federal Reserve; Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of IMF; Jamie Dimon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan Chase; Shin Hyun Song, Economic Adviser and Head of Research at BIS; Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor of the People's Bank of China; Zhu Min, Former Vice President of IMF; Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank; and Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba Group.

At the CFV Awarding Ceremony & 10th Anniversary Banquet Beijing on the evening of November 18, CFV winners of the decade and CFV winners of the year were announced. The winners and senior management of the winning organizations participated and delivered speeches to witness the honor and extend their best wishes for CFV.

The YICAI Financial Summit & Annual Meeting of China International Finance Society held on the morning of November 19 gathered various decision-makers, economists and financial professionals, including Tian Guoli, Chairman of Bank of China Ltd.; Chen Yulu, Vice Governor of the People's Bank of China; Zhu Min, Former Vice President of IMF; and Li Yang, Director of NIFD, to discuss the financial trends of China and the world, focusing on "World Economy and China 2017: See Trends Among Uncertainties". Chen Weidong, Director of Institute of International Finance, Bank of China, representing the co-organizer, delivered a speech, and economists held a roundtable discussion to forecast the new features of China’s economic and financial development in 2017, including Lian Ping, Chief Economist of Bank of Communications; Zong Liang, Chief Researcher of Institute of International Finance, Bank of China; Yin Jianfeng, Professor of Foreign Trade and Economic University; Zhu Haibin, Chief Economist of JP Morgan Chase China; Zhang Zhiwei, Chief Economist of Deutsche Bank; Ding Shuang, Chief Economist of Standard Chartered Bank China; Qiao Hong, Chief Economist of Bank of America Merrill Lynch; and Cui Li, Head of Macroeconomic Research of CCB International.

Yang Yanqing, Deputy Editor in Chief of YICAI & Director of YICAI Research Institute, presided over the keynote speech of the Summit, and Zhou Jiangong, CEO of Shanghai YICAI Media Co. Ltd., delivered the opening speech.

On the afternoon of November 19, "2016 YICAI Financial Books of the Year" were revealed. Industry experts shared their insights on the winning financial books of the year and made inspiring academic exchange, shedding light on the trends of China's financial and economic development.
