Hong Kong (21st December, 2016) – The AIA Great European Carnival has lined up a wide variety of entertainment on offer throughout the daytime and evenings throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
22nd December, 3:30-4pm:
Performance by Methodist College Choir
23rd December, 4-5pm:
Isla School of Dance will present “Winter Wonderland” at the Billboard China Radio Live Stage at The AIA Great European Carnival to celebrate Christmas with families and friends. 15 little ballerinas compose of ages 5-9 will perform the “Flower Waltz” and “Sugar Plum Fairy” from the beloved Christmas ballet The Nutcracker.
Isla School of Dance was established in 2008. The school provides the finest quality of ballet training in a comfortable and nurturing setting. Classes are strict, yet fun and challenging for children from age two upwards.
24th December, 2-6pm:
Snow Brand Balloon will be given away to children at the Carnival.
From now till 28th December:
Santa Claus will parade twice a day throughout Christmas, 2pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to 8.30pm. Join Santa for a festive Christmas filled with snow flakes at the Carnival.
Regular Entertainment
Based on traditional Punch n’ Judy Puppet shows, The Great European Carnival Puppet Show presents custom-made costumes of the carnival’s own hilarious Phantastique Brothers. Audiences including both children and parents are invited to interact with our fun-loving puppets who play a variety of active games in front of the Stage. Available every day: 2-2:30pm, 3:30-4pm, 5:30-6pm and 7-7:30pm.
Big Ben engages children with his mischievous tricks and appears on live stage everyday at 1-1:30pm. Drums performances available daily, 2:30-3pm, 4:30-5pm and 7:30-8pm.
31st December:
Family Phantastique’s New Years Eve variety show features a variety of exciting performances includingHip Hop dancers, Wushu Acrobats, African drummers, Comedy sketches and games and DJ Kai, plus a countdown to midnight hosted by Phileas Phantastique and our bilingual host, Jessie.
The Carnival will extend its operation hours till 1am on 24thDecember and 31st December.

ABOUT THE GREAT EUROPEAN CARNIVAL (TGEC)
The Great European Carnival Ltd (TGEC) is the producer of the annual Hong Kong event called The AIA Great European Carnival. The Great European Carnival takes place between December and February each year, on the Central Harbourfront Event Space. The event features amusement rides, carnival skill games, seasonal markets and performances on a community stage. This year the Carnival will run at the Central Harbourfront Event Space from 16th December.
