Hong Kong (3rd February, 2017) – Time goes fast; good time goes faster! Come and join us for the second last weekend at The AIA Great European Carnival before it closes on 12th February. The Carnival has lined up a weekend fun of sports workshops and children performance to continue to celebrate the Chinese New Year with you!
Hong Kong Dragon Boat Association Workshop, 4th February, 12-3pm
Mother nature doesn’t have to be a factor to enjoy the dragon boat experience – dragon boat lovers can now experience their first ever experience of dragon boat fun at the Carnival in Hong Kong. Trial of paddle machine at the Carnival will be held from 12-2pm, followed by 200 metres race competitions on live stage from 2-3pm. Anyone wants a taste of dragon boat experience is welcome to join!
Hong Kong Cricket Association Workshop, 4th February, 3:30-5:30pm
Hong Kong Cricket Association will teach the techniques of batting, throwing, catching, stopping boundary balls & reaction skills. Contestants will run six stations to complete each activity and the quickest ones will get prize. Cricket fans will be thrilled to learn that the Association is giving away keychains, water bottles, and free tickets for the Hong Kong vs Netherlands game in February.
Hong Kong Rugby Union Workshop, 5th February, 12-3pm
Hong Kong Rugby Union will hold school workshops providing rugby related agility and movement games catered to all ages and abilities taking part.
Hong Kong Football Association, 5th February, 3:30-5:30pm
Hong Kong Representative Team (Men and Women) will not only demonstrate and teach the public some football skills, but they will also play games and give away football gifts at the Carnival!
Music Children Foundation will perform at the Carnival on 5th February at 6pm at the Carnival’s live stage.

ABOUT THE GREAT EUROPEAN CARNIVAL (TGEC)
The Great European Carnival Ltd (TGEC) is the producer of the annual Hong Kong event called The AIA Great European Carnival. The Great European Carnival takes place between December and February each year, on the Central Harbourfront Event Space. The event features amusement rides, carnival skill games, seasonal markets and performances on a community stage. This year the Carnival will run at the Central Harbourfront Event Space from 16th December.
