Monitor Group Selected Again as One of China’s Most Important Companies

Selected from more than 1,500 firms, Monitor represents top tier of businesses operating in China

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The China Enterprise Confederation has selected Monitor Group as one of Top 100 multinational corporations contributing to the economic development of China in 2009. This follows the selection of Monitor in 2008 as one of the Top 60 multinational corporations that have made the greatest contributions to China in the 30 years since the country instituted economic reforms.

Monitor was chosen from more than 1,500 companies in a process that included evaluations by 25 experts and voting by Chinese business and government leaders, as well as readers of China Enterprise News, Sina.com and Xinhua.com.

Monitor was honored in Beijing on January 15, at an event hosted by the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association (CEC) led by Mr. Wang Zhongyu, Chairman of CEC and former State Councillor and Secretary of the State Council. The event“The Growth and Contribution of Multinational Companies in China recognized honorees, “ for outstanding contribution to development of China’s economy, driving industry competitiveness and performance, and the improvement of working and living standards, and environmental sustainability.”
