HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tricor Group (Tricor), Asia’s leading provider of integrated business, corporate, investor, human resources and payroll, corporate trust and debt services, today announced the appointment of Catharine Wong in Hong Kong as Executive Director and Head of Investor Services.
Reporting to Hong Kong CEO, Joe Wan, Catharine will be responsible for leading and growing its securities registration business in Hong Kong. Tricor’s key investor services include IPO offerings and new share issues, registry management, corporate actions, shareholder communications, meeting management and poll scrutineer services.
Catharine joins Tricor from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), where she was the Head of the Depository and Nominee Services department and responsible in overseeing the daily operation and business development of all the depository, IPO and corporate action processes in HKEX. Highlights include implementation of the China Stock Connect, re-engineering key processes in the Central Clearing and Settlement System and leading the discussion on the Uncertificated Securities Market (USM) operation model. Catharine brings over 20 years of experience in the securities industry to Tricor’s leading investor services business. Catharine’s appointment reflects the Group’s commitment to further strengthen our market leadership position in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining HKEX, Catharine has held various positions in operations, client relationship and business management in major international banks, both in Hong Kong and Australia. Catharine holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW, a Master in Applied Finance degree with Macquarie University in Sydney and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
