OSLO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The NOC Executive Board made the following decision regarding a possible application for the YOG 2016 to Norway and Lillehammer in its board meeting on the 15th April 2010:

The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NOC) shall continue talks with Norwegian governmental and regional authorities in order to investigate further the possibilities of organising the YOG 2016 at Lillehammer.

The NOC Executive Board shall have to clarify with the IOC and the Norwegian political authorities if there is a basis for a formal application for a governmental financial guarantee covering a potential economic shortfall, by the 15th June, 2010.
