(NASDAQ:MLNX)(TASE:MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end connectivity solutions for data center servers and storage systems, today announced that its industry-leading end-to-end 40Gb/s InfiniBand connectivity products, including ConnectX®-2 adapters and IS5600 switches with FabricIT™ fabric management software, provide the high-performance server and storage networking for Dawning’s new supercomputer to be installed at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) in southern China. The new supercomputer, codenamed “Nebula”, is the fastest HPC system ever built in China, and is ranked as the second high-performing system in the world as publicized on the June 2010 TOP500 List of supercomputers with a sustainable Linpack benchmark performance of 1.271 Petaflops.
