BAD HOMBURG, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following a 14 percent growth during a recession filled 2009; Memphis Electronic has opened two new offices in Japan and Singapore during the second quarter of 2010. The Specialized distributor of memory components and manufacturer of memory modules are reacting to the growing demand for its consultation services in Asia. International customers will also benefit from the increased presence in Asia, as Memphis can now oversee the entire communication chain from design to production. Given the positive order situation, Memphis is expecting growth of up to 30 percent in 2010.

Following a severe price war spanning the last few years, the market of memory IC’s witnessed consolidation in 2009. Manufacturers of end devices are now faced with the challenge of finding long-term available memory for their products. As Memphis Electronic has more than twenty memory manufacturers in its portfolio, the company can suggest alternatives to obsolete components which meet customer’s requirements and do not require a full redesign.
