LONDON -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --
In London, Heathrow Express, the fastest way to travel between central London and Heathrow Airport, has now launched its improved service to Terminal 4.
The £1 million project investment, which includes refurbishing the train with new livery and an interior refresh delivering 340 seats, will ensure Heathrow Express continues to be the best choice for anyone using Heathrow Airport.
Richard Robinson, Heathrow Express Managing Director, stated: "I am pleased to say that we now offer our passengers a premium brand train service that serves all Heathrow Terminals in less than 23 minutes. This investment has enabled us to create 15 new jobs and ensure that we are still the quickest and most reliable way to the UK's busiest airport."
By introducing a set timetable synchronised with the existing Heathrow Express services, and reducing the platform changes required at Heathrow Central Terminals 1 & 3, passenger journey and wait times will be reduced by over 25%.
The Heathrow Express service from Paddington to Terminals 1, 3 and 5 will remain unchanged, taking only 15 minutes to Heathrow Central and a further 6 minutes to Terminal 5. Dedicated staff are always available on the platforms to assist passengers with their journey and any questions.
Timetable
The new service will take from 23 minutes to Terminal 4 from London Paddington.
The service will provide 3 minutes for interchange at Heathrow Central, which will be managed by Heathrow Express staff and customer information systems.
The service will depart Terminal 4 at 12, 27, 42, and 57 minutes past the hour.
