The aviation experts team up with Virgin Racing
LONDON & SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ascend (www.ascendworldwide.com) the aviation information specialists today announce their new partnership with the Virgin Racing Formula 1 Team, ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.
Ascend’s Chief Executive Officer, Gehan Talwatte, says: “We are delighted to be supporting the Virgin Racing team in a first for our industry. This reflects the global significance of our sector and our business, as well as our continuing drive to be the best at what we do.”
Like Virgin Racing, Ascend is at home with calculating and managing risk: “In business, as in motor racing, the biggest opportunities to win often come with the curves,” Talwatte says. “With the correct intelligence and insight, provided by Ascend’s specialist Risk Advisory services, we help our clients anticipate and negotiate those curves – the ups and downs of business cycles and other challenges – and come out ahead of the competition.”
Virgin Racing CEO Graeme Lowdon acclaimed the new partnership: “We are delighted to welcome Ascend into our partnership portfolio. As a new entrant to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, we aspire to achieve the very highest standards and partnering with like minded organisations is very much part of our commercial strategy. We are looking forward to carrying the Ascend logo on our cars and to helping Ascend achieve their shared objectives from this partnership. The motor sport industry is very much aligned with the aviation world with many core technologies, procedures and best practices being shared.”
Talwatte adds, “Ascend enjoys long-standing relationships with companies within the Virgin Group and we are thrilled to extend our relationship to include the Virgin Racing team. In terms of brand synergy, this is an excellent fit for us. Our customers include the world’s top 20 investment banks and global leasing companies and all major aerospace manufacturers – our business to business clients tend to be huge fans of Formula 1.”
Ascend is particularly enthusiastic about the opportunities for promoting the brand in Asia Pacific, offered by this partnership.
“We have hundreds of corporate clients in Asia Pacific, and as the world’s fastest-growing region, it took over 30% of new aircraft deliveries last year,” says Talwatte. “Our partnership with Virgin Racing will help cement our credentials as a substantive global player.
“In Singapore alone, we currently support over 40 local clients, from the banking, leasing, insurance, and airline sectors.”
The Ascend logo will be featured on Virgin Racing’s two cars at this year’s Singapore Grand Prix which takes place between the 24th and 26th of September.
