New 12V275GL+ Delivers 0.5 g/bhp-hr NOx Capability and Highest Power Rating in Class
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Dresser Waukesha, a leading manufacturer of natural gas engines that deliver clean, cost-effective power, has added a fourth model to its 275GL Series of gas compression engines. The new 12-cylinder 12V275GL+, like its 16-cylinder counterpart, is a high-performance model with low NOx capability and class-leading power rating.
With its low NOx capability, the new 12V275GL+ meets the current 0.5 g/bhp-hr NOx requirement for non-attainment areas. Like its 16-cylinder counterpart, the 12V265GL+ model is equipped with a NOx sensor that directly measures NOx in the exhaust stream enabling real-time, closed-loop control of the air/fuel ratio to assure optimum performance.
The plus ("+") symbol in the 12V275GL+ name refers to a series of competitive advantages that go beyond low emissions and include 2% better fuel efficiency along with Waukesha's well-known fuel flexibility for maximum performance on a wide variety of fuel gas compositions and quality. The 12V275GL+ is rated at 3625 bhp at 1000 rpm and delivers the most power in its class, maximizing gas throughput and customer profits. In addition, the 12V275GL+ operates at full load with no derate at higher altitudes than competitive models.
Like other 275GL Series engines, the new 12V275GL+ is designed to simplify and improve packaging, operation and service. It is equipped with an enhanced version of Dresser Waukesha's ESM® engine control system to optimize engine performance and maximize uptime. The 12V275GL+ also features a hydroelastic damper that reduces service costs by eliminating the need for damper fluid sampling.
"The 12V275GL+ is the newest engine in the Waukesha product lineup that is designed to address current and future emissions concerns while still providing the higher power and application flexibility our customers have come to expect," said Lloyd Beauchamp, vice president-gas compression sales for Dresser Waukesha.
The 12V275GL+, along with the other three models in the 275GL Series, is available for order immediately. To learn more, visit http://www.waukeshaengine.com/index.cfm/go/product-detail/product/12V275GL_plus_Gas_Compression.
