Acme Packet Net-Net® session border controllers (SBCs) are used at China Mobile’s fixed access borders to enable the secure, high-quality delivery of IP Centrex and hosted voice services to residential and business subscribers.

China Mobile is deploying Acme Packet’s Net-Net session border controllers in multiple cities across five provinces throughout China as part of an initial deployment of IMS. China Mobile has a multi-year plan to build its IMS network and migrate all fixed and mobile communications services to this next-generation architecture. Acme Packet SBCs have also been deployed to support multiple services on its pre-IMS NGN including IP Centrex, Multimedia Telephony (MMTel), multimedia ring-back tones, multimedia conferencing and click-to-call services in Shanxi province.
